Illegal immigration -- explained perfectly!

I have been in many a "discussion" about illegal immigration. I have always found it difficult to explain my point of view about illegal immigration. I've just never been able to find the right words and then those who don't understand me believe I'm some kind of hater or something. My mother-in-law sent this to me yesterday and I am relieved to find someone who thought the same as I do on the matter. Thing is, I had no idea this existed until yesterday but this pretty much sums up my thoughts/feelings on the matter:

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Thank you President Roosevelt. This should be a litmus test for every potential American immigrant prior to allowing that soul to enter and permanently remain in the United States. For those who come here illegally simply to take money and send it back to their homeland, continue speaking their language, and break our laws (besides the one where they immigrated here illegally), well, I have no respect for you parasites and request, collectively, that you all go back to your own countries. Don't come back until you decide to truly be an American. For those who have come here illegally but truly want to assimilate themselves into Americans, I respectfully ask you to go back to your countries and start the process legally. I appreciate your wanting to be true Americans and hope the best for you, however, it is an immoral act to break our laws in coming here illegally and it is poor form and disrespect to those who have before you come here legally. It's also just not a good way to start out your life as an American.
